Community Clean Up of Invasive Blackberry & Litter at West Beach, White Rock
We’re helping the Green Team clean up invasive species (Himalayan blackberries!) in White Rock on September 17th from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm.
All ages, abilities & experience levels are welcome, bring your family & friends! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Gloves, tools, instruction & refreshments provided!

MEETING INSTRUCTIONS
Meet by the West Beach boat launch (beside Bayview Park) at Bay St and Marine Drive. EXACT LOCATION HERE: . Call/text Ashton at 778-968-2693 if you can’t find them!
GETTING THERE/PARKING
• This activity is accessible by public transit, which is a great way to save on costs and is better for the environment.
• For FREE parking for the duration of this activity please email ashton@greenteamscanada with your license plate ahead of time or tell Ashton your license plate number upon arrival. Do not pay for parking! Ask Ashton for a parking pass to display on your dash when you arrive.
WASHROOMS
There are public washrooms located nearby (~5min walk).
WHAT TO BRING
• Refillable water bottle
• Hat and sunscreen to protect you from the sun
• Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
• Long sleeves and long pants to protect you from thorny plants & ticks
• Sturdy, comfortable closed-toe shoes/boots or rain boots
• Rain jacket in case it rains
• Your own gardening gloves, tools, and safety glasses.
WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED TO YOU
• Gloves, tools, and safety glasses if you don’t have your own
• An educational instruction on what to do (no experience necessary!)
• Refreshments
• A small thank-you gift at the end, donated by a business
