Hastings-Sunrise Graffiti Cleanup

The Hastings-Sunrise Community Policing Centre has arranged for us to help with graffiti removal on February 25th from 10 am to 12 pm.

Event Day Update

We’ll meet at 2620 East Hastings Street at 9:50 am. We’ll do a briefing, then we’ll move to 2076 East Hastings Street. We’ll go back to the Hastings-Sunrise Community Policing Centre for pizza at noon. The office is located at 2620 East Hastings Street.

Parking is available behind the London Drugs at 2285 East Hastings Street.

People should bring warm clothes and warm gloves, since the weather will be cold and we’ll be working in the shade.

The Hastings-Sunrise Community Policing Centre delivers crime prevention and safety programs and a variety of services to residents, businesses, and other organizations throughout the Hastings Sunrise neighbourhood.

On the Day

The cleanup will be in the Hastings-Sunrise Community. The final meeting place is yet to be determined.
Please note two important details:
(1) you should consider bringing personal protective equipment in case the CPC does not provide any. Gloves, safety glasses etc.
(2) if the weather is not good, then the graffiti removal will be a litter cleanup instead since the paint that’s being used can only be applied in dry conditions.
